From your first taster day to multi-pitch routes
We train at El Tornillo and head out onto real rock: El Chorro is our natural school, with weekend meet-ups, camping at Los Albercones and a campfire. That's where we put up the Espolón Ama Dablam route on Las Frontales.

Some experience needed; the club's courses get you ready
Snow, ice and ridges, starting in Sierra Nevada, and the high mountains the club is named after: the Himalaya, the Karakoram and Alaska. Forty years of expeditions, with the stories told afterwards at the club office.

For all levels and ages
Routes through the Sierra de las Nieves and the Serranía de Ronda, kicking off every year with the Torrecilla (1,919 m), our home mountain. Plus the 8 Cimas challenge: one summit in each Andalusian province.

Rope skills needed; start with the beginners' workshop
Gorges with abseils, pools and stretches you swim through. You learn the techniques first on the canyoning training wall the club has set up next to the climbing wall, then head down to the river in a full wetsuit.

You'll need to be fairly fit; routes of moderate difficulty
Rides along the tracks and trails of the sierra, setting off from the climbing wall, with breakfast before we start and a briefing at the club office beforehand to plan the outing.

With an FAE licence and rope skills
Next to the climbing wall there's a training shaft the club has equipped for practising vertical rope techniques. It's open on Tuesdays 10:00 to 13:00 and 19:00 to 22:00, and on Thursdays 19:00 to 22:00; book by email the week before.
