2026-27 course: two groups

We're a FAM Climbing School (FAM is the Andalusian mountaineering federation). Kids learn technique and safety through play, and pick up effort, confidence and teamwork along the way. This is where our competition team came from.

Questions from families

From what age can children climb?

The kids' climbing course is for children and teenagers aged 5 to 17: Mondays are for the beginners' group (ages 5 to 14), and Wednesdays for the improvers' group (ages 9 to 17). There's one qualified instructor for every 6 or 7 climbers.

Are there sessions on rainy days?

Yes. When it rains, the session is held in the club's classroom.

How much does the course cost?

€40 a month, or passes for 2 months (€80), 4 months (€160) and 6 months (€240). On top of that, a €25 registration fee per calendar year, renewed in December.

Does my son or daughter have to join the club?

Nothing else is needed: the course registration fee already includes the insurance, the club membership fee and a T-shirt. Then you pick your course day on Playoff.

What do they need to bring?

Just comfortable clothes. The club provides the climbing gear.

What if there are no places left?

Sign up on Playoff anyway and you'll go on the waiting list. If your child is leaving the course, let us know in advance to avoid being charged.

Open day

Twice a year we open up the climbing wall so families can meet the instructors, see what the sessions are like and ask us anything. You don't need to come to one to sign up: you can book a place on the course on Playoff at any time.

Previous open daysThe end-of-year party of the kids' climbing course, “come and try climbing”, on 1 July 2022, and the club's 40th anniversary open day, with a rescue demonstration by the Marbella fire brigade, on 26 March 2023.
